The shutdown impacts the online capabilities of some older EA titles and EA has been evaluating options to keep services up and running, according to the blog post. However, online services for the games will be closed down at the end of June as the company does not currently have a solution due to technical challenges and concerns about the player experience.

In Battlefield: Bad Company 2, DICE brings its best-in-class online vehicle warfare to a spectacular new level. By pushing destruction to new heights and delivering a host of land, sea and air vehicles, players will experience all-out-warfare like never before. Whether its intense battles online or in the single player campaign, players must use every weapon and vehicle at their disposal to survive and conquer. The unprecedented action unfolds on the battlefield to deliver a level of intensity and excitement never before experienced in a modern warfare action game.

Fortnite drops up to 100 players onto an island where they must scavenge for weapons, health kits, and materials for crafting protective shelters. The battlefield shrinks as the game progresses, forcing players into tight circles of combat. In other words, you have to move in order to survive.

However, World of Tanks Blitz is still a mobile game. Which translates to tons of microtransactions. Purchases can be made in their shop for premium high-tier tanks which gives them an advantage on the battlefield. Consider this a Pay-to-Win warning.

"In each new copy of a Uplay Passport-enhanced game will be a one-time use registration code that, when redeemed, provides access to Uplay Passport content and features," the company said in an emailed statement. "The code can be found on the insert card inside the game box. Gamers can identify Uplay Passport-enhanced games by looking for the logo on the back of the box."

A ray of hope out there... I've [finally] upgraded successfully by just rebooting the iphone on the dock and clicking between iphone and iTunes store. I think it was just patience, faith in karma and luck in getting through a window to the store to finish the upgrade. I still get the error (-9838) due to traffic I assume but I'm current and I have a working phone. Thank to everyone for the company and posts while I sweated this out. To all of you still waiting... hang in there.

I'm having the same problem. I keep asking myself why I put up with this? How can a company produce such a great product that they know people want and not be prepared for the influx of software updates and the data that comes alone with it? So now I have no cell phone and another "ipod" sitting around. Totally annoyed. 2ff7e9595c
